Stuart Ball

Stuart began his career in education as a Primary school teacher, working his way up to deputy headteacher and headteacher. During this time he won awards for his classroom practice as Primary Science Teacher of the Year and Microsoft Innovative Teacher of the Year. He has written numerous books and articles about Primary science and the use of technology in the classroom. Over the past 10 years he has worked as an Education Evangelist for Microsoft, working with teachers and students throughout the world on developing and implementing 21st century classroom practices.

Stuart has worked  as an educational consultant to schools, industry and other organisations involving engagement strategies, including the traditional face-to-face forms of education change and engagement, but also utilising digital experiences to maximise engagement and reach. The projects on which Stuart works strive to ensure that students and educators develop core 21st century skills. His consultancy develops professional training strategies and content through such avenues as community, coaching and mentoring so that schools and teachers can deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of 21st century students.

Currently, Stuart is working as a Regional Network Lead for STEM learning.
