Owen Jenkins is a former BBC trained bilingual broadcast journalist and has worked extensively in communications and marketing for blue chip companies and organisations in both the private and public sectors. Owen has hands on experience of managing website content management systems and has trained company directors, emergency services, politicians and local authority directors and senior managers in crisis media management. Most recently, as communications and marketing manager for Neath Port Talbot CBC, Owen worked closely with the LEA to provide support and advice to schools in dealing proactively with the media and also when things go wrong. He is currently chair of governors at a special school in Llanelli and works for ESTYN as a Ley Inspector in both primary and secondary sectors. He is therefore ideally placed to show schools how to promote themselves and the achievements of their pupils to their stakeholders through making the most of their websites and various media platforms.
