Dewi is a freelance educational consultant and his areas of expertise include the translation, editing and proofing of educational materials to be published through the medium of Welsh.

British Council: Ambassador, promoting Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning (CCGL) project in schools in North Wales.
GwE: External verifier and Mentor for newly qualified teachers in Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham local authorities.
Alphaplus: Focus group facilitator for Qualitative research with learners to explore views on Non-examination assessment (Qualifications Wales).
Bangor University – Widening Access Centre: working with groups of secondary learners to develop study skills, life skills etc.
British Council: Project manager and online assessor on CCGL project.
Bangor University: Facilitated a Global Learning training course for BA QTS trainees (Sept-Dec 2019).
CAA, Aberystwyth University: Edited the translation into Welsh of a book on teaching pedagogy in primary science, (commissioned by Welsh Government in relation to Curriculum 2022).
Gwylanuk: Translator and Welsh-medium input and adviser.
From 2012-19, Dewi was a partner in TLC, working on a number of prominent projects for the company, including:
Developing a new STEM curriculum and training teachers for OVEC in Thailand (British Council project).
Guidelines for implementing the Literacy and Numeracy Framework in Wales (LNF) 2012-13 (commissioned by Welsh Government).
Arts, Literacy and Numeracy: Developing a toolkit for Arts Practitioners and Teachers 2014-15 (commissioned by Arts Council of Wales).
Techniquest Schools Outreach Programme 2012-16 (commissioned by Techniquest, Cardiff).
He also delivered extensive INSET to teachers at central locations across Wales such as the Management Centre, Bangor University, Plas Menai, Caernarfon, the Liberty Stadium, Swansea as well as numerous bespoke courses and sessions in schools across Wales.
From 2001 to 2012 Dewi was a senior research fellow at CRIPSAT, University of Liverpool, managing numerous national education projects for the Welsh Government.
Dewi's previous posts include senior lecturer in primary science and education (Initial Teacher Training) at Liverpool Hope University College; science project officer for Canolfan Astudiaethau Addysg, Aberystwyth University, primary science advisory-teacher for Clwyd LEA and headteacher of two primary schools in North Wales. He has also carried out school inspection work for agencies contracted to Estyn and Ofsted.
