Jeffrey Cole

For nearly four years Jeff has been a Humanities Curriculum Pioneer and a Professional Learning Pioneer. He is one of the Humanities Network Leads for Central South Consortium and currently sits on the board of the National Humanities Network. He, therefore, both wrote this part of the Curriculum for Wales 2022 and is leading on its implementation and refinement. Jeff is also involved with the national pedagogy project Talk Pedagogy, Think Learning, and has served as an Associate Advisor for Professional Learning with the Central South Consortium. He has lead workshops on the new curriculum across Wales on behalf of all four regions and the Welsh Government.

Jeff has taught for 25 years, in England as well as in Wales; in rural, city and valleys communities; teaching students at either end of the socio-economic spectrum. He has led departments, faculties, and on whole school projects, notably instituting an interdisciplinary, dispositions focussed curriculum 10 years before Donaldson published Successful Futures.

Jeff is an experienced and successful curriculum innovator. He now supports schools to meet the challenges, and maximise the opportunities of CfW’22, and to create inspiring curricula specific to the needs of the individual school.
