Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning works with schools around the world to help young people develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to thrive today and tomorrow.
This course is available at two levels, 2 and 3.
The Level 2 course aims to:
Enable reflection on understanding of an ‘enterprising, creative contributor’.
Develop ideas on critical thinking and problem solving in Global Learning through:
- different perspectives
- evaluating evidence
- deeper thinking
- non-routine problems.
Explore Sustainable Development Goals to make decisions on ‘most important global problem’.
Working with others with the same decision, think creatively to design an invention to (partially) solve the selected global problem.
In addition, the Level 3 course also includes:
Developing a lesson plan to trial a similar lesson in school.
Reflect on findings in terms of:
- learner outcomes
- teacher outcomes
- areas for improvement
- next steps.
Explore opportunities to expand entrepreneurship of learners within a global context.
The training is available to groups, clusters or whole-schools as twilight, half-day or full-day sessions in school. (Minimum of 10 participants per group)
Here are the training options available:
Level 2 (6 hours)
- 2 x 3-hour twilight sessions (in school)
- 3 x 2-hour twilight sessions (in school)
- full day whole school (in school).
Level 3 (12 hours)
- 2 x full day whole school (in school).
