Ceri Llewellyn

Ceri is currently a Deputy Head at a Welsh medium Primary school in Bridgend. With experience of teaching throughout both Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, Ceri has developed strategies to raise standards in Literacy and Numeracy on a whole-school level. Following a successful year as Head of Early Years Education in a large Welsh medium Primary School, Ceri was seconded to the post of Foundation Phase Training and Support Officer for Central South Consortium.

Within this capacity, Ceri provided support for both English and Welsh medium settings throughout five local authorities in Wales. She has worked alongside a range of practitioners, helping them to improve practice and raise standards within the classroom and across the Foundation Phase. She has worked alongside Challenge Advisers to monitor school standards and has a proven track record of supporting schools to make significant improvements following ESTYN Inspections. Ceri has also supported non-maintained settings throughout the Bridgend authority, ensuring high quality provision and offering guidance with Development Plans and Self Evaluation Reports.

An experienced training facilitator, Ceri has provided Welsh Government training for practitioners throughout South Wales covering a wide range of topics. These include: Outdoor Learning, Additional Learning Needs, Assessment, Monitoring and Recording and the Revised Areas of Learning. She has also been involved with the consultation and delivery of training for the Early Years Development Assessment Framework in readiness for its implementation in September 2015.

A fully qualified Clinical Practitioner of Hypnotherapy, Ceri has successfully implemented Mindfulness strategies within classroom settings to aid children with emotional, social and / or behavioural difficulties.
